We found
cat furniture ugly...
...so we decided to make one ourselves. Not a giant block that you'd rather tuck away somewhere and takes up half your room, but a designer scratching post that can simply stay out when your cat has something else to do for a moment. :)

Each piece is handmade here in the Netherlands, together with a local furniture maker. We saw, mill, sand, lacquer, and glue the sisal on by hand.
After that, we assemble everything ourselves, and every scratching post gets a final check. We make them in small batches, so we have plenty of time to do it right.
No factory. No assembly line. Just a pile of wood, machines, and a whole lot of cat hair.
